Two rivers and terrible crimes

boccaderlupoI dreamed my daughter told me that local youths had begun frequenting a sewer system nearby where two rivers meet. Apparently there were underground chambers there, and some of the kids were having parties down there, and yet there were kids who had gone missing.
I visited with my daughter and son, and in the antechamber to the sewer area, a tall, masonry room maybe 12+ feet in height, a girl from my daughter's school was setting up tables, as if there was a flea market about to take place. We passed on, and the area became a maze, descending deeper and deeper into the gloom. There were passageways and labyrinthine corridors, and finally the place no longer seemed like a medieval dungeon but a cave. We were hundreds of feet below the surface of the town. It was cold and menacing.
We managed to convince two guys from the Parks and Rec department, one of whom was a British guy who had immigrated here but used to be a rescue diver, to descend with us to search. At the very bottom of the passage, beneath us, there was an area where the two rivers emptied together into a swirling pool, maybe the size of a football field, with the water coursing around and waves crashing. We lowered the British guy into the water, and he began to search.
In no time he began to find bodies—lots of bodies. He tugged on the rope and we hauled him up out of there, and went to the cops.
The police excavated the place and found maybe two dozen corpses had been stashed in the water at the bottom of the cave. It had apparently been the doing of a scion of a local rich family, an unemployed ne'erdowell. For whatever reason, the cops hauled the bodies, which were badly decomposed from being in the water, using a front-end loader and dumped the remains on the family's capacious lawn. Then they arrested the suspect.
Not an enjoyable dream.
